My 3.5 year old loves this and wants to play with it all the time. It is a pain to clean up b/c the hair turns into teeny little playdoh pieces that go everywhere.

My kids all love play doh and Monsters Inc so for them this is the perfect combination. My only reservation is that this is secretly a parent torture device. I have already resigned myself to the fact that they will have four tubs of off grey brown play doh after a few times playing with any play doh kit. However I was unprepared for the mess that the scare chair hair cut portion makes, so get ready for an extraordinarily large number of tiny pieces of dough all over the floor!!! Luckily my kids have so much fun with this that it outweighs the mess! Caveat Emptor!!!!

The question is... how young is too young for the Play Doh Disney Monster University Scare Chair. Well like the movie the Play Doh playset really isn't all that scary. Our 3 year old daughter likes the set, but she did grow a little tired of it after about 15 minutes. Ironically, 15 minutes is about the amount of time it takes to clean up the playset after play.

Notes :

1- Comes with 4 cans of Play Doh - two small cans of both purple and blue and two super small cans of yellow and white.

2- One small set of (right handed) Play Doh Scissors

3- Play Doh has a bad reputation (sometimes unwarranted) for being messy and the Monster University Scare Chair is definitely messier than most. While it may be fun to cut the thin Play Doh hair it does make a bit of a mess.

4- Comes with a variety of molds for making eyes, wings, horns, and other fun Monster accessories.

5- Assembly is very quick - it takes about 60 seconds to put the scare together.

Final Verdict - The Play Doh Disney Monster University Scare Chair will be enjoyed by fans of the Monster University. However, if you are simply just looking for a fun Play Doh toy there are some that we have liked better - like the Play Doh Drill N Fill Playset. Overall, it is not a bad Play Doh Playset but it is not our favorite.
